  Amazing spot. We "camped" in total comfort in one of the safari tents with our 2 year old and 1 year old and LOVED it!! Even though it rained for the first day we were all happy and dry and the beach was staggeringly beautiful and misty. We had a view of the bush and could hear the waves and bird life. Out of the way from the main tourist spots but close enough to visit and then retreat for some peace and quiet and a huge playground for the kids. Winner!!!

  Owners were so friendly and helpful. Obviously put in a lot of effort to maintain this place. Great location. As far as campgrounds go this is as good as they come!

  Fantastic caravan park. All facilities very clean and new. The managers are so hospitable, it felt like we had known them for ages!

  This place was fantastic, friendly and helpful staff, great location, and Glamping, the way it should be. Our "tent" was very very cool, great layout and everything exactly where you needed it. We had a thunderstorm late afternoon and there were no issues, dropped the outside flaps and rested comfortably inside with the gentle patter of rain on the canvas and the silhouette of lightning outside occasionally lighting up the inside with a really cool green canvas glow. Storm passed and whilst we could have used the excellent tent cooking facilities, we elected to use the community BBQ to cook a couple of t-bones and retire to the tent verandah and watch the evening wildlife feast on the lush grass surrounds. I will return to this spot without question and would be happy to bring my friends here as well. Short walk (3 mins) to ocean but it is not too noisy with small 3 ft breakers providing a lovely seaside lullaby. Photos on website are 100% as it is.

  We highly recommend staying at Scamander Sanctuary Holiday Park. It's a great spot of use as a base to visit Bicheno, Bay of Fires and Binalong Bay.
